8 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ITIL
ITIL is used in small and large organizations around the world. According to ITSM Transition, some of these companies include British Airways, Disney, Visa, and Microsoft. ITIL can help improve the way people work, how they can increase their efficiency and ensure that services are state-of-the-art. Whether you are new to your career, a manager or a business owner, the following useful ITIL concepts should be considered:
1. ITIL is not the same as project management
ITIL focuses on providing best practice IT services that
help clients, while project management focuses only on the project itself and
on meeting client expectations and stakeholder needs.
2. You can study ITIL anywhere
Not only are there classroom courses available all over the
world, but you can learn at your own pace and earn certification anywhere and
anytime with specially designed online learning courses like these.
3. ITIL improves communication
The ITIL framework encourages companies to use a circular
process that helps ensure IT systems are properly understood across the
business. It involves all employees and creates transparent communication so
that everyone knows what work is required of them, and when.
4. ITIL is not a tool
ITIL is not really a tool, but provides a clear set of
frameworks for planning, designing and delivering IT services with the business
in mind. There are no checkboxes to follow, just a guide to encourage best
practices which may vary depending on the size and type of industry in which
the company belongs.
5. There are free training materials and downloads
If you want to get a feel for what it is like to get an ITIL
qualification, or if you've decided to study for an ITIL exam, members of the
ITSM community have uploaded old exams, materials training, quizzes and
downloadable resources. You can find a few for free here.

6. You can implement ITIL in stages
Many companies introduce ITIL in stages over a period of
time, so that the organization can tailor the process to exactly the type of
business. There are also no rules stating that the company must integrate the
entire ITIL model.
7. ITIL is suitable for all levels of employees
ITIL training is not reserved for people in managerial or
managerial positions. It can actually deliver benefits to all levels, including
new hires, customer service staff, IT professionals, and managers. ITIL
empowers employees to become more efficient and improves the productivity of
operations. The qualification levels that we currently offer are described
below.
8. There are five qualification levels
There are five levels of ITIL qualifications that can be
